Victory in Grand Prix of Budapest and Nations Cup

The CSIO-W in Budapest will go down in memory for our team as one of the most successful shows in history of our stable. With three wins in a row by Jana Wargers one of which for het home country Germany, we could not be happier with how Limbridge and Chacco’s Lady 2 jumped.

The Longines EEF Nations Cup of Budapest was the first high of the show in Hungary. Together with her compatriots Jana and Limbridge (by Limbus) managed to keep the faults to a minimum over both rounds and were the only team to have the penalty score of zero, earning them the win in this three-star Nations Cup.

On Saturday Jana had another horse in top form. In the 1.45m Chacco’s Lady 2 (by Chacco-Blue) jumped a fantastic double clear and finished in the fastest time – ex aequo – with Sophie Hinners. The German ladies shared the win in this Grand Prix qualification class.

On Sunday Jana scored a hat-trick by landing her third victory in a row! Limbridge was on top of his game and jumped a double clear in the 1.50 Grand Prix of CSIO-W Budapest. The pair finished the jump-off with half a second to spare on the clock, concluding a fantastic show for our team.

High Point VDL earns 6th place in CSI3* Grand Prix

After two great weeks at Knokke Hippique the final CSI3* Grand Prix proved to be another highlight for our team. Our nine-year-old High Point VDL (by Tinka’s Boy x Indoctro) jumped the third 1.50m course of his career and performed absolutely brilliant.

With Stefanie High Point VDL jumped a fantastic clear first round in the Grand Prix and went onto the jump-off. Going against very competitive combinations they finished in a super 6th place.

With already a 2nd place in last weeks CSI2* Grand Prix for this pair we could not be prouder of the great strides they are making.

Last weekend both Jana and Stefanie competed at Knokke Hippique in Belgium. Both riders had some excellent results in the young horse classes and in the CSI2*. With High Point VDL (by Tinka’s Boy) scoring top marks every day and moving up in the rankings.

On Wednesday the nine-year-old gelding and Stefanie finished in 7th place out of 81 riders in the 1.40m Grand Prix qualification class jumped against the clock. On Thurdays the pair upped their game and jumped two clear rounds in the 1.45m with a jump-off time that earned them a 4th place.

One week after finishing in 11th place at the CSI2* in Kronenberg, High Point VDL climbed yet another Grand Prix ranking. HIGH POINT VDL SCORES HIGH MARKS IN GRAND PRIX

At the CSI2** show at Equestrian Centre the Peelbergen our team was very well represented with four Ashford Farm riders competing. Both the younger horses as well as the older ones where happy to be back showing again. With many clear rounds the best was saved for last in the 1.45m Grand Prix.

Chacco’s Lady (by Chacco-Blue) and Jana Wargers jumped a top round, but finished with one unlucky rail down. High Point VDL and Stefanie Carroll showed were up next in the class of which the time allowed prooved to be a challenge for many combinations. The pair showed excellent form by clearing all the fences. They crossed the finish line just short of the time allowed, adding one time fault to their otherwise perfect score. Finishing in 11th place.

JANA WARGERS AND MICHAEL CRISTOFOLETTI JOIN ASHFORD FARM

International showjumpers Jana Wargers and Michael Cristofoletti have partnered up with the team of Ashford Farm. The pair, who ran their own stables in Germany, already had a long-working relationship with Ashford Farm’s owner, Enda Carroll. The couple will hence forward call his stables in Bocholt, Belgium, their home.

The move to Ashford Farm was already taking shape, however due to an earlier than foreseen departure from the Sunshine Tour the plans had to be adjusted. “We made a virtue out of necessity”, Enda Carroll explains. “Jana and Michael already had most of the horses with them and because they had to go into quarantine, we agreed it would be better to push the moving plans forward.”

Next step
“Jana has been riding horses for Ashford Farm for over two years now and Michael has been involved with the management of these horses and as a sales partner. During this time, they’ve both continued to impress me, so I am looking forward to this next step in our collaboration. To have everyone under one roof will strengthen our position and will help Ashford Farm to continue to grow in the future. By combining our strengths and our sales networks we hope to be of service to more clients all over the world”, Enda concludes.

Partnership
German rider Jana Wargers and Michael Cristofoletti who represents Italy, are equally excited to join the Ashford Farm team: “We started with the idea to move closer to the centre of the horse industry. And after sharing our thoughts with Enda, we developed a new concept that allows us to develop our business and work more efficient as a team. The facilities here at Ashford Farm are amazing and we already feel at home.”

Joining forces
Michael continues: “With us working from Bocholt we will all be better together. Jana will continue to focus on the sport, and I will combine riding with developing the sales together with Enda. By connecting our network of clients, we will be able to create more opportunities. It will be amazing to be working alongside Enda and the rest of the Ashford Farm team.”
